1. Update PC and CE
2. PC to CE
3. CE to PC
You can choose one from the above. 'Update PC and CE' performs a bidirectional synchronization. A description of how this process works can be found in "What's 'Sync'".
Note: MobSync only looks at the timestamps of the files to determine which files are newer and does not look at the file contents. You can read a little more about file timestamps in the section "What's 'Sync'".
- Selecting One-way Mode
- Select 'Sync-Mode' if you want to make the destination folder identical to the source folder. In this mode, MobSync will copy, overwrite, delete, move, or rename files so that the destination folder mirrors the source folder exactly.
- 'Copy-Mode' only differs from 'Sync-Mode' in that 'Copy-Mode' will never delete or rename files in the destination folder. For example: If the source and destination directories are identical, then you rename file "TheFile.txt" on the source side to "RenamedFile.txt", then when the job is run, "RenamedFile.txt" will be copied to the source, and "TheFile.txt" will remain, as "RenamedFile.txt" is actually viewed as a new file. In 'Sync-Mode', "TheFile.txt" would have been deleted.
- 'Move-Mode' is a special mode that files are forced to be copied without the timestamp comparison. The source files will be deleted on a successful transfer.
- Sync Timing
MobSync runs the synchronization tasks periodically (the interval is adjustable in the 'Option' menu item). You can select what action the job will do at this periodic checks.
- Every interval (set in option) -- If this item is selected, then this job will be run every time MobSync performs its periodic check.
- Only when first connected -- If this item is selected, then this job will be run only when MobSync does its *first* periodic check.
- Only manual -- If this item is selected, then this job will *never* be run automatically. To run it, you must select it manually and specifically select to synchronize the selected job.
